Google may use cookies and process device, browser, and visit information. This site also uses a StackAdapt advertising pixel, which may use cookies and process device, browser, and visit information for advertising measurement. Device coordinates are used in your browser to calculate straight-line distances. When you enable device location, Google Maps receives your coordinates to find a nearby street address. For a voter guide, your entered address or the nearby address found from device location is sent through this website’s server to BallotReady/CivicEngine, the provider of the Florida Democratic Party voter guide. The provider processes the address and creates an anonymous ballot session to return candidates and ballot measures. Its processing and retention are governed by its privacy policy, available through the FDP voter guide. We do not submit your name, email, telephone number, date of birth, or marketing opt-in. Our guide service does not log or write addresses, request bodies, or provider session tokens to disk. It temporarily processes them in memory; guide results are cached in memory for up to five minutes under a one-way address hash. Candidate photos are loaded from the provider’s image service or relayed through this site for PDFs; image requests do not include your address.
ZIP-code lookup uses a local reference file. If Google address search is unavailable, the fallback street-address form sends your address to the U.S. Census Bureau to find coordinates. The fallback map uses OpenStreetMap tiles; OpenStreetMap receives your IP address and the map area requested. Directions open Google Maps with the voting-site destination.
